Environmental studies have demonstrated the TECSLAB system replacing a suspended concrete slab results in greater than 75% reduction in embodied energy over an entire floor system. TECBEAM joists contain less than 15% of the embodied energy of the steel beams they replace. Significant cost savings over steel structures and ease of construction are other benefits.
